Local first

About OctoFood
OctoFood connects customers with approved local restaurants for pickup-first ordering. The public site helps people discover restaurants; the protected customer app handles cart, checkout, receipts, and tracking.
Trust model
OctoFood is built around the Vancouver pickup pilot, with approved restaurants and CAD-only ordering.
Restaurants control menus, prices, item availability, pickup timing, service availability, and order pauses.
Customers see real restaurant menu prices. Restaurants pay a flat 5% all-in for standard domestic online card processing — Stripe’s standard processing fee and OctoFood’s platform fee together — and keep 95% of the bill.
Operating posture
OctoFood is not trying to replace restaurant operations. The platform gives restaurants a clean ordering channel, payment flow, customer receipts, and public storefronts while keeping fulfillment responsibility with the restaurant.
